Crashes, slips, floods, fallen trees, burst mains: when the road becomes unsafe, traffic control cannot wait for next week's approval cycle. Our emergency crews mobilise fast to make the scene safe and keep traffic moving.
The same goes for planned work that lands at short notice. If your programme has moved and you need a compliant site sooner than you thought, call us before you assume it cannot be done.
What we cover
- Rapid response to crashes, slips and weather events
- Emergency road and lane closures
- Support for councils, contractors and utility crews
- Urgent works under emergency TTM provisions
- Short notice mobilisation for planned work
- Temporary setups maintained until the road is repaired
Fast response, safe scenes
Our crews carry the signage and gear to establish a safe, compliant scene quickly: closures, detours, single-lane operation under stop/go, or protection around a hazard while repair crews work. We coordinate with police, council and network contractors on scene.
Short notice does not mean non-compliant
Emergency and urgent works have their own provisions under the NZ temporary traffic management framework. We know how to use them properly, so a fast setup is still a defensible, documented one.

FAQs
Emergency & Short Notice questions
How quickly can you get to a site?
It depends on crew availability and where the site is, but emergency callouts in the Napier and Hastings area are typically reached within the hour. Call 021 976 908 and we will give you a real ETA on the phone.
Do you handle the paperwork after an emergency setup?
Yes. Emergency works still get documented, and if the site needs to stay up we manage the follow-up TMP so it remains compliant.
Need traffic management sorted?
Tell us about the job and we will come back with a straight answer and a fixed quote.
